The Colorado Youth Bands Mission Statement: To provide an inclusive instrumental music program that promotes youth development, fosters peer camaraderie, instills respect for culture, and develops a pursuit of excellence.

Fall Session Overview

This form is for our fall session at the Historic Grant Ave Location. The address is 216 S Grant St.

September 8, 2025 to January 19, 2026. Monday Rehearsals. No rehearsals on October 13, December 22, or December 29.

Intermediated Band, Concert Band, and and Honor Winds tuition is $350. There is a discount for multiple students from the same family (two students – $630, three students – $915).

Tuition for the Beginning Band is $268.

Tuition is calculated automatically.

The Colorado Youth Bands Fall Session at Historic Grant Avenue includes Beginning Band, Intermediate Band, Concert Band, and Honor Winds.

Beginning Band. There is a minimum enrollment requirement for Beginning Band. A minimum of five students will need to be enrolled on September 3. Beginners must start in the fall session. You should register for the beginning band using the pay-by-check method.

Beginning Band Students will need Tradition of Excellence, Book 1 for their instrument. This is our new method book this year. You can purchase it directly from us by adding it to your registration below, or buy it from a music retailer or online. Please make sure your student has the book at their first class.

Class Schedule – Fall Session
Beginning Band: 4:45 to 5:40 pm
Intermediate Band: 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm
Concert Band: 6:00 pm to 7:55 pm
Honor Winds: 6:30 – 8:30 pm

Our Fall Session Concert will occur on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 2 pm. At Historic Grant Avenue, 216 S Grant St. Denver, CO, 80209.

Concert Band and Honor Winds auditions are on Monday, August 25. Sign up for your audition time using the following links:

Attendance Expectations

Attendance is essential for individual and group success. When a student misses a rehearsal, the ensemble misses out on their contribution to the group. Colorado Youth Bands understands that absences are sometimes unavoidable.

Colorado Youth Bands has the following suggestions for successful participation:

1) Put your rehearsals on the calendar now.
2) Look at your fall schedule and determine conflicts; communicate them to Colorado Youth Bands.
3) Don’t let one absence lead to two. Unplanned absences can add up.
4) Colorado Youth Bands greatly appreciates families communicating with us when schedules get challenging.
