Spring Session Overview
February 2, to May 11, 2026. Monday Rehearsals. No rehearsals on February 16.
Intermediated Band, Concert Band, and and Honor Winds tuition is $350. There is a discount for multiple students from the same family (two students – $630, three students – $915).
Tuition for the Beginning Band is $268.

The Colorado Youth Bands Spring Session at Historic Grant Avenue includes Beginning Band, Intermediate Band, Concert Band, Honor Winds and Brass Band.
Beginning Band. There is a minimum enrollment requirement for Beginning Band. You should register for the beginning band using the pay-by-check method.
Beginning Band Students will need Tradition of Excellence, Book 1 for their instrument. This is our new method book this year. Please make sure your student has the book at their first class.
Brass Band. Brass Band is an auditioned ensemble that meets from 5:00 to 6:00 pm and is modeled after a New Orleans–style brass band. Students learn to play in the style while developing groove, ensemble skills, and confidence as improvisers.
Students who participated in Brass Band during the Fall Session do not need to re-audition. New students are welcome to audition by emailing christina@coyouthbands.org
or dean@coyouthbands.org.
There is no separate registration form for Brass Band; participation is coordinated directly with staff. There is an additional fee of $125 for the brass band. In addition to the Spring concert, there maybe other performance opportunities TBA.

Brass Band: 5:00 to 6:00
Intermediate Band: 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm
Concert Band: 6:00 pm to 7:55 pm
Honor Winds: 6:30 – 8:30 pm

The Spring Session Concert will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Lakewood High School.
