As a 70+ year-old nonprofit, we LOVE to have volunteer help! In fact, volunteer service is critical for our ability to deliver our music education programming. You can donate your time to Colorado Youth Bands in a few different ways:

Board Service
Join the Board!
Serving on the Board of Directors is the most direct and impactful way you can get involved with the organization. Review our Commitments and Expectations of Board Members, or click “Join the Board!” above to submit an interest form.
Board Officers
Our Board has three Officers: the President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Along with the Program Director, these three positions comprise the Executive Committee, which meets separately once a month to handle administrative and high-priority tasks. If you have prior Board service or you want to take on a new challenge, we welcome your willingness to serve in one of these essential roles:
Board Trustees
Trustees comprise the majority of our Board and are full voting members. They are critical members who help with fundraising and other key responsibilities.
Parent and Student Board Members
Current Parents and Students are absolutely welcome to serve on the Board of Directors! While not eligible to become a voting Trustee, these members are especially critical when the Board makes decisions on curriculum, programming, strategic planning, and fundraising.
Fundraising Committee
Our Board uses a Fundraising Committee model, meaning that we have a dedicated committee for brainstorming, planning, and executing fundraising activities — with help from the rest of the Board, of course.
